FAQ’s

Do parents have to pay to search for a Day Care Provider?
No.  Parents can search for free.

How will parents find me?

We're actively working to let both parents and childcare providers know about our site.

What determines the order in which listings come up?

Our goal is to present the parents searching the site with the providers who most closely match the parents' needs at the top of the list.  Currently each personalized search is sorted by date of registration.  For a limited time, those who sign up first will be at the top of the list.

If I give you my address and e-mail, are you going to sell my information?

Never.  We will never sell you information to any third party.

Do I have to fill out all the information?

All required fields will be identified with an asterisk.

Is finding a day care provider on the internet safe?
We realize the idea of using the Internet to find day care providers is new, however, when you exercise caution, the process is no different than finding a sitter through local supermarket ads or newspaper classifieds. Our service is available to help parents find day care providers more quickly than traditional means. However, using this website is neither a substitution for the interview process nor an excuse for carelessness. No matter how you find your next day care provider, we recommend you exercise caution whenever you find and hire a new babysitter.

How up to date are the babysitters found on this website?

ChildcareAndPreschool.com receives new day care provider registrations every hour! During your subscription, you may even notice an increase in the number of day care providers for your particular area.

Are the day care providers on ChildcareAndPreschool.com screened?

NO! DaycareAndPreschool.com does not pre-screen users of this website. Although we do provide a venue and a set of tools necessary for child care seekers to evaluate our members, you should always verify the information yourself before hiring a new daycare provider (or accepting a new job). We recommend you proceed with caution when someone asks you for an interview. Follow the same rules as you would if a new neighbor came over and asked if they could sit for your children. We strongly advise parents and sitters to interview in-person and to try-out the scenario as a helper before offering or accepting a permanent position.

How much does it cost to search as a parent?

It’s completely FREE.
